F(X) - Rum Pum Pum Pum MV Review

I really didn't even want to watch this to be honest, but F(X) has really impressed me in the past so I decided this could be another great hit. My main concern to begin with was the fact that the teaser made me feel like I was watching Krystal and the Back-Up Dancers, instead of F(X). I wasn't the only one with this concern because I saw others saying the exact same thing in the comments.

The MV itself did have more focus on Krystal then the other members, I must say, but it wasn't too much of a problem, more just the usual SM favouritism. You guys know what I mean right? >.>

If you're not a massive fan of F(X), then this MV will bore you completely. But this is not the groups fault, a lot of SM music videos are incredibly boring to those who don't support the group. Basically all I saw was some girls dancing in a weird looking room and occasionally they'll have close up smiles and winks and when the boredom almost makes you close the video, SM threw in some weird 360 degree camera angles just to spice it up. But over all it was boring.

The costumes were a bit confusing, the video opens and F(X) are wearing almost casual clothes, not matching what-so-ever. Which is okay, whatever. But then later on they're dressed in matching red outfits. I don't understand it, if you're going to match stage outfits, match ALL the stage outfits, don't have some that match and some that are just random. Take EXO for example, if I see a picture of EXO on stage I could tell you whether they were performing Mama or Wolf, because the costumes for both are different and yet all within the same concept. Infinite is the same, I could look at a live picture of them and know what song they were doing. F(X) might be like this too, for all I know. Maybe the casual costumes were only for the MV. But all I'm saying is, i don't understand it. Co-ordinated outfits are much cooler in my opinion anyway.

The dance was alright, not the best that F(X) can do, but it is something that I would have fun learning. 

The actual song was quite a disappointment. At times it felt very messy. Having said that, some parts were really good. I feel like this song might end up growing on me but for now, I don't have much time for it.

Over all, the girls did a great job ad they must have worked hard, I only wish they were given better dances and songs because recently they having been doing much for me. Also I would really like to see more of Amber in the future because she just doesn't get enough lines or camera time.
